GenRad Functional Tester

Future Test can provide true functional test of circuit boards utilizing a GenRad 2235 Functional Automated Tester (ATE).  A functional tester provides very comprehensive testing by supplying and testing electrical stimulus on the circuit boards I/O connections.  This approach exercises the components and interconnects in a manner similar to normal system operation.

The functional test excels at digital testing, but is also capable of testing microprocessors and analog circuitry when augmented with auxiliary test gear.

For simpler designs or circuit boards with specialized test requirements, such as RF, audio, precision signal levels, etc., a rack and stack, custom automated test assembly or hot mock up may be a more suitable approach.

Computer generated test and calibration reports can be provided for each circuit board requiring tracability.  Fundamental test equipment used for measurements and calibration are NIST certified.
