    VGA LCD Driver Assembly

A scan converter that takes a PC VGA signal and converts the analog and digital formats to a form that is compatible with a Sharp color LCD display module.

This design incorporates high speed analog to digital converters (35Mhz) to change the VGA input signal to a digital LCD display compatible signal.  Analog phase lock loop circuitry is also used to derive a dot clock signal from the horizontal scan rate.   Programmable logic devices are used to reduce component count and increase performance.

The result of this design is a near perfect reproduction of a PC VGA image on a small flat panel display.  These units are currently used in high end virtual reality display systems.

Future Test used analog design and digital design techniques developing this product..   Currently this circuit board is in production and the customer has approximately one hundred of units in the field.
